Police are investigating a string of vandalism cases in which thrown rocks left a number of homes and cars damaged in Montgomery Village.
According to police, there have been seven reported incidents, the first one occurring on November 29 at East Village Avenue near Welbeck Way, leaving car’s windshield cracked. The most recent incident occurred on January 14 on Delcris Drive, where a window at one home and a sliding glass door at another were shattered by rocks.
No one has been injured in any of the incidents, but in all cases rocks were thrown at moving cars or at homes between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Police say they do not have a description of the suspect or suspects, and there have not been any reported cases since January 14.
Police believe that there may be more unreported incidents of this type in the area, and are urging residents to call 301-279-8000 if they believe they are victims. Anyone with information about this vandalism should call the Montgomery County 6th District at 240-773-5700.
