MONTGOMERY VILLAGE- Ruslan Tsarni, 42, called his nephews “losers” and urged his remaining nephew to turn himself in and ask for forgiveness. Tsarni spoke to reporters as at his Montgomery Village home about his nephews Dzhorkhar Tsarnaev, 26 and Tamerlan. Tsarnaev, 19 about their alleged involvement in the Boston Marathon bombing.
“We are ashamed,” Tsarni angrily yelled during a press conference at his home, in regards to Tamerlan and Dzorkhar who are his brother’s Anzor, sons. Tsarni said the last time he spoke his nephews or his brothers was in December 2005.
He said the family would consider themselves Muslim, but did not know his nephews or his family to have anti-American sentiments. He said the brothers do not have military or gun experience.
Tsarni said his nephews brought shame on the family and their nation of Kyrgyzstan with their actions
Tsarni said he is ashamed of his nephews and urged Dzhorkhar, who is reported to be in a shootout with Massachusetts State Police, to turn himself in and ask for forgiveness. CNN has reported that a gunshot was heard at the home where Dzhorkar’s Grey Honda was parked but has not released anymore details. Tamerlan was killed in a shootout on April 18 on MIT’s campus.
