MCHENRY  - A Rockville man is dead after a skiing accident on Jan. 19. James Jung-Jin Park, 40, was on the Squirrel Cage ski run at Wisp Resort in McHenry, Md., when he lost control and ran into a copse of trees.

Park was pronounced dead at Garrett County Memorial Hospital. Friends said  Park was an experienced skier and was wearing a helmet.

Park was born in South Korea and raised in Northern Virginia. He attended the University of Virginia as a member of the ROTC and served active duty in the Army. Park worked in commercial real estate investment and asset management. He is survived by his wife and two children.

This is not the first accident for Wisp in the past year. In March, seven people, including two children, were hospitalized after participating in cardboard box races.
