A1 Beat:

 

·         A strong-arm robbery occurred in front of the Pollo Dorado restaurant, 12216 Veirs Mill Road in Silver Spring on Saturday, 4/10 at 5:40 p.m.  The male victim said the suspect assaulted him and took cash. 

 

Suspect: W/M, 25-30 yrs. old, NFD.

 

·         An aggravated assault occurred in the 12000 block of Rocking Horse Drive in North Bethesda on Tuesday, 4/13 at 10:07 a.m.  Officers responded to a burglary in progress and found the adult male victim and the suspect in the street.  The suspect had broken through the front door of the residence and as officers arrived he assaulted the victim.  The suspect was arrested on the scene. 

Arrested: Male, 19 yrs. old, from Silver Spring.

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 12100 block of Selfridge Road, Silver Spring between Saturday, 4/10 and Monday, 4/12.  The entry was forced.  Nothing was taken. 

 

·         A graffiti incident occurred in the 12400 block of Village Square Terrace, Rockville on Monday, 4/12 at 7:10 p.m.   A citizen observed several juveniles spray-painting a wall.  The citizen attempted to talk to the suspects but three of them ran off.  The other subjects provided information on the three who fled.

A2 Beat:

 

·         An aggravated assault occurred at Atlantic Avenue & Wainwright Avenue, Rockville on Friday, 4/9 at 3:20 p.m.  A twelve-year-old male victim was walking and noticed the suspect following him.  The suspect pulled out a knife and the victim began to run.  The suspect chased him but stopped sometime before the victim got to the Twinbrook Recreation Center. 

Suspect: H/M, 20 yrs. old, 5’10”-6’, 190-200 lbs., white hooded sweatshirt, blue pants.

 

·         A theft from vehicle occurred at Royal Auto Body, 1621 E. Gude Drive, Rockville on Wednesday, 4/7 at 8:40 p.m.  The suspect drove in and circled the lot before parking by the victim’s vehicle (a ’99 Toyota Corolla).  He took tools from his vehicle, removed one of the victim’s wheels and then drove off. 

Suspect: B/M, 220-240 lbs., bald head, medium to heavy build, white T-shirt, jeans;

Vehicle: smaller white pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet.

 

·         A graffiti incident occurred at the entrance to Rockcrest Park, in the 1700 block of Crawford Drive, Rockville on Friday, 4/9 at 9:55 a.m.   Graffiti was found on the bridge; NFI.

 

·         A weapons possession incident occurred in the 1100 block of Broadwood Drive, Rockville on Sunday, 4/11 at 9:40 a.m.  Officers responded to a domestic-dispute.  They found the suspect on his deck and observed a knife and stun gun.  The suspect was acting irrationally, making wild claims.  The suspect was searched and drug paraphernalia and a second knife were found in his pocket along with a tube with an odor of marijuana in his backpack.  The suspect was transported to the hospital and will be arrested upon his release. 

Suspect: W/M, 45 yrs. old, 6’1”, 220 lbs., beard, multiple tattoos on his arms, from Rockville.

 

A3 Beat:

 

·         A robbery occurred in the 500 block of Pinewood Road, Rockville on Wednesday, 4/14 at 3:25 a.m.  The victim is a Regency Cab driver and was sent to that address for a fare.  The suspects were standing outside and the victim stopped to ask if they were the ones that called for a cab.  They displayed a weapon and demanded money. The suspects obtained cash and fled on foot. 

 

Suspect: B/M, 20 yrs. old, 5’5”-5’10”, ski mask;

Suspect: B/M, 20 yrs. old, 5’5”-5’10”, brown sweater, jeans.

 

·         Four thefts from vehicles occurred at various locations in the beat.  In two of the incidents, entry was forced; in two, it was unforced.  Items taken included: stereos, radios, DVDs, cell phones, GPS units, memory cards, cameras, credit cards and cash.  Affected streets: 400 block of West Montgomery Avenue, 100 block of Maryland Avenue, 200 block of Luckett Street and 900 block of Nelson Street.

 

A4 Beat:

 

·         There were no significant events in the beat during this time period.

 

 B1 Beat:

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 200 block of Rollins Avenue, Rockville between 5:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday, 4/12.  There was no sign of forced entry.  Property was taken. 

 

Suspect: H/M, 24 yrs. old, 5’5”-5’8”, 140-160 lbs;

Suspect: H/M, 33 yrs. old, 5’6”-5’8”, 150-170 lbs.

 

·         A sexual assault occurred at Massage Envy, 12266 Rockville Pike, North Bethesda on Friday, 4/9 between 2:30 and 3:00 p.m.  The adult female victim was getting a massage and the suspect fondled the victim.

Suspect: W/M, 55 yrs. old.

 

B2 Beat:

 

·         There were no significant events in the beat during this time period.

B4 Beat:

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 14200 block of Cervantes Avenue, Darnestown on Tuesday, 4/13 at 8:45 a.m.  Windows were tampered with, but no information is available on entry or whether property was removed.

 

·         Three thefts from vehicles occurred in close proximity to each other:

Ø       Between Tuesday, 4/5 at 10:30 p.m. and Wednesday, 4/7 at 6:00 a.m. in the 11100 block of Captains Walk Court, Gaithersburg.  Broke window, took a GPS and other electronic equipment. 

Ø       On Tuesday, 4/6 at 6:59 a.m. in the 11100 block of Captains Walk Court, Gaithersburg Unknown entry; no report yet on missing items.

Ø       On Friday, 4/9 between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of Stonebridge View Drive & Rolling Green Way, Gaithersburg.  Broke window, took a wallet.

D1 Beat:

     

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 2700 block of Blaine Drive, Chevy Chase between 7:00 p.m. on Monday, 4/5 and 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday, 4/6.  Unknown means of entry; property taken.

Suspect: W/M, 19, 5’7”, 154 lbs.;

Suspect: H/M, 19, 6’, 150 lbs.;

Suspect: B/M, 15-16, 6’4”;

Suspect: B/M, 5’11”.

 

·         An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 4200 block of Leland Street, Chevy Chase just after midnight on Sunday, 4/11.  The suspect broke a window but did not actually enter the residence.  The suspect was located by patrol on the platform of the Metro Station.

Arrested:  Male, 26, from Montgomery Village.

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 2400 block of Lyttonsville Road, Silver Spring on Thursday, 4/8 between 2:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.  Unknown means of entry; property taken.

 

 

·         Two residential burglaries occurred in the 8600 block of 16th Street, Silver Spring. One event occurred Friday, 4/9 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and the other occurred sometime between Thursday, 4/8 and Monday, 4/12.  Unknown if anything was taken.

 

Suspect: W/M.

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 8800 block of Leonard Drive, Silver Spring overnight from Friday, 4/9 to Saturday, 4/10.  Entry was forced and property was removed.

 

D2 Beat:

 

·         Two thefts from vehicles occurred in the 4300 block of Maple Avenue and in the 4300 block of Rosedale Avenue, both in Bethesda, on Tuesday 4/6 at 4:53 a.m.  Suspects were seen fleeing on foot towards Lynnbrook Road.  A second victim was located in the vicinity.  Both vehicles were entered without any signs of force.  Cash was taken from one vehicle. 

Suspect: B/M, 25-29, 5’9”-5’11”, 200-220 lbs;

Suspect: W/M, 25-29, 5’9”-5’11”, 200-220 lbs.

 

D3 Beat:

           

·         Three thefts from vehicles occurred overnight from Friday, 4/9 to Saturday, 4/10 in the North Chevy Chase area.  Three unlocked vehicles were entered and cash, CDs and a GPS were taken.  Affected streets were: the 3500 block of Preston Court, the 8700 block of Preston Place, and the 3900 block of Woodlawn Road.

·         There were no significant events in the beat during this time period.

 

E2 Beat:

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 5400 block of Beech Avenue, Bethesda sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Friday, 4/9.  Entry was forced.  Property was taken.

 

E3 Beat:

 

·         A theft from vehicle occurred at Montgomery Mall, 7101 Democracy Boulevard, Bethesda between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 4/7.  Three suspects were seen near the victim’s vehicle.  Property was taken.  The suspects left the scene in the vehicle below.

Suspect:  B/M, 5’10”-6’1”, 185-215 lbs;

Suspect:  B/F, 5’3”-5’5”, 250-300 lbs;

      Suspect:  B/M, 5’10”-6’, 225-280 lbs.

Vehicle: ’03 Cadillac (VA tags). 

 

 

·         A theft from vehicle occurred at Montgomery Mall, 7101 Democracy Boulevard, Bethesda on Sunday, 4/11 between 1:45 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.  Property taken.

G1 Beat: 

 

·         An assault/attempted rape occurred in the 8600 block of 2nd Avenue, Silver Spring on Wednesday, 4/7 at 1:58 p.m.  An adult female was accosted in a stairwell and sexually assaulted.

Suspect: Unknown/Male, 5’5”, wearing an earring, dark bandana and pink shirt.

 

·         Three commercial burglaries occurred at 8555 16th Street, Silver Spring on Saturday, 4/10 at 12:16 p.m.  Unknown means were used to enter Stuckeys Food & Beverage, United Health and Peel Properties.  Offices were ransacked, but nothing was taken in any incident.

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 1400 block of Blair Mill Road, Silver Spring between 9:30 a.m. and 6:25 p.m. on Wednesday, 4/7.  Entry was unforced; property was taken.

 

G2 Beat:

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 800 block of Gregorio Drive, Silver Spring between 9:00 a.m. and 4:36 p.m. on Wednesday, 4/7.  Entry was unforced; property was taken.

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 1900 block of Kermit Road, Silver Spring between 8:00 p.m. and 9:09 p.m. on Monday, 4/12.  Entry was forced; property was taken.

 

Suspects: (3) W/M’s, 20-30 years;

Vehicle: older model silver vehicle, “box style”.

 

H1 Beat:

 

·         A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 400 block of Domer Avenue, Silver Spring on Sunday, 4/11 at 1:50 a.m. The suspect drove alongside the 48-year-old female victim, stopped and asked for a cigarette.  The suspect then reached into the victim’s pocket and removed cash.  The victim attempted to call 911 from her cell phone but the suspect knocked the phone out of her hand before fleeing.

Suspect: H/M, 25-30 years, 5’8”, tattoos on his neck and hands;

Vehicle: Dark colored Jeep.

 

·         An assault/robbery occurred in the 7800 block of Carroll Avenue, Silver Spring on Sunday, 4/11 at 1:30 a.m.  An 18-year-old male and his female friend were robbed and he was assaulted during the robbery.  The suspects approached the victim and demanded his bike. The victim refused, whereupon he was assaulted and cash was removed from his pockets.  The suspects then took the female victim’s cell phone before fleeing.

Suspects: (6) H/M’s, 16-18 years, 5’8” to 5’11”, one suspect wore a black mask.

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 8600 block of Piney Branch Road, Silver Spring on Tuesday, 4/6 at 11:02 a.m.  Entry was unforced, but the suspect was arrested before any theft could occur.

Arrested: Male, age 29.

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 9600 block of Piney Branch Road, Silver Spring on Tuesday, 4/6 between 7:15 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.  Entry was forced; property was taken.

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 8600 block of Piney Branch Road, Silver Spring on Wednesday, 4/7 between 8:15 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  Entry was unforced; property removed.

 

H2 Beat:

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the unit block of Crest Park Court, Silver Spring on Sunday, 4/11 at 4:36 a.m.  Unknown means of entry; nothing taken.

Suspect: H/M, 6’2”, 235 lbs, wearing tan shirt and jeans.

 

I1 Beat:

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 1500 block of December Drive, Silver Spring on Monday, 4/5 between10:00 a.m. and 6:50 p.m.  Entry was unforced; property removed.

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 2200 block of Hidden Valley Lane, Silver Spring on Wednesday, 4/7 between 11:30 a.m. and noon.  Entry was forced; property was taken.

Suspects: (2) H/M’s, 15-18 years;

                  (1) H/F, 16-18 years.

 

 

 

I2 Beat: 

 

·         An armed robbery occurred in the 14500 block of Wexhall Terrace, Burtonsville on Friday, 4/9 at 11:25 p.m.  The suspects approached the 18-year-old victim; one produced a gun and announced the robbery. The suspects removed the victim’s property and fled.

Suspects: (2) B/M’s, 17-18 years, 5’10”, 150-170lbs, wearing dark “hoodies”, one suspect was armed with a gun.

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 15100 block of Red Cedar Drive, Burtonsville on Thursday, 4/8 between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.  Forced entry; cash removed.

Suspect: Unknown/Male;

Vehicle: dark colored 2 door pickup

·         An attempted carjacking occurred in the 14400 block of Taos Court, Aspen Hill on Saturday, 4/10 at 12:45 a.m. The suspect, who was under the influence, attempted to open doors of two different occupied vehicles.  He was arrested nearby.

 

Arrested: male, 23.

 

·         A strong-arm robbery occurred at Beaverwood Lane and Bel Pre Road, Aspen Hill on Wednesday, 4/7 at 3:00 p.m.  The incident was between juveniles.  Property was taken.

Suspect: black male, 15-16.

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 15200 block of Layhill Road, Aspen Hill on Monday, 4/12 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.  Entry was forced; property was taken.

 

·         An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 14100 block of Fall Acre Court, Aspen Hill on Friday, 4/9 at 9:50 a.m.  Attempted forced entry.  Nothing was taken.

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 14200 block of Georgia Avenue, Rockville overnight from Wednesday, 4/7 to Thursday, 4/8.  Unforced entry; property taken.

 

K2 Beat:

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 4400 block of Kalmia Street, Rockville on Monday, 4/5 at 1:15 p.m.  The incident was domestic-related.

 

Suspect: Hispanic male, 20.

 

L1 Beat:

 

·         There were no significant events in the beat during this time period.

 

 L2 Beat:

 

·         A strong-arm robbery occurred outside Jose’s Grill, 11423 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring on Saturday, 4/10 at 1:55 a.m.  The victim was in an alley when the suspect approached and assaulted the victim.  The suspect was arrested nearby.

Arrested: male 20, from Brookeville.

 

·         An aggravated assault occurred in the 1900 block of Ladd Street, Silver Spring on Sunday, 4/11 (time unknown).  The incident was between mutual tenants.  The victim was defending his wife when the suspect assaulted him with a knife.

 

Arrested: male, 26.

 

·         An aggravated assault occurred in the 2500 block of Ennalls Avenue, Silver Spring on Tuesday, 4/6 at 1:31 a.m.  The incident was between parties that had been playing pool inside the bar and alcohol was a contributing factor.  No further information available. 

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 10700 block of St. Margaret’s Way, Silver Spring on Wednesday, 4/7 between 9:00 a.m. and 3:42 p.m.  Unforced entry was gained, but nothing was taken.

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 10600 block of Dunkirk Drive, Silver Spring between Monday, 4/5 and Wednesday, 4/7.  Forced entry to a shed was achieved; property was taken.

M1 Beat:

 

·         An armed robbery occurred at the Middlebrook Discount Beer and Wine, 19601 Frederick Road in Germantown on Monday, 4/12 at 9:10 p.m.  Two armed suspects entered the store, announced a robbery, and fled with cash and property. 

 

            Suspect #1: Unknown race male, possible name of “Manny”

            Suspect #2: Unknown race male, **shotgun

 

·         A commercial burglary occurred at the Sunoco, 19235 Frederick Road in Germantown on Tuesday, 4/13 at 3:03 a.m.  Forced entry; property was taken.

 

      Suspects: Two B/M’s, NFD

 

M2 Beat:

 

·         There were no significant events in the beat during this time period.

 

N1 Beat:

 

·         A strong-arm robbery occurred at the Giant, 13060 Middlebrook Road in Germantown on Saturday, 4/10 at 6:53 a.m.  The suspect posed as a customer making a purchase.  As the clerk began to ring up the sale, the suspect demanded money.  The clerk complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

 

            Suspect: B/F, 30 years old, 5’6”, 150 lbs.

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 19400 block of Partridge Wood Drive in Germantown between 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 4/6 and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, 4/10.  Unknown entry.  Property was vandalized.

 

·         A theft of a vehicle occurred in the 12600 block of Grey Eagle Court in Germantown overnight between Tuesday, 4/6 and Wednesday, 4/7.  Suspects stole a 2007 Ford Mustang.

 

·         A theft of a vehicle occurred in the 19200 block of Circle Gate Drive in Germantown overnight between Tuesday, 4/6 and Wednesday, 4/7.  Suspects stole a 2007 Gray Nissan Frontier. 

 

·         A theft of a vehicle occurred in the 20000 block of Century Blvd. in Germantown overnight between Saturday, 4/10 and Sunday, 4/11.  A 1998 Purple Volkswagen Passat was taken.  The vehicle was later recovered.

 

N2 Beat:

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 18600 block of Glen Willow Way in Germantown on Sunday, 4/11 at 12:45 p.m.  Forced entry, when suspects saw residents were home, they fled without taking anything.

 

            Suspect # 1-3:  Juvenile B/M’s

            Suspect #4:  Juvenile W/M

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 16900 block of Germantown Road in Germantown at between 5:00 p.m. Saturday, 4/10 and 8:00 a.m. Sunday, 4/11.  Suspects forced entry.  Property taken.

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 13600 block of Hopkins Road in Germantown on Thursday, 4/8 at 3:33 p.m.  No forced entry, suspect found inside and arrested.  

 

            Arrested: M, 32 years, no fixed address

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 19000 block of Warrior Brook Drive in Germantown on Thursday, 4/8 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  Forced entry. Property taken.

 

·         A theft of a vehicle occurred at Ginger Court and Cinnamon Drive in Germantown between 7:00 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Monday, 4/5.   Suspects stole a 1997 Green Ford Truck.

 

·         An attempted theft of a vehicle occurred at the MARC parking lot located at 19330 Mateny Hill Drive in Germantown overnight between Monday, 4/5 and Tuesday, 4/6.  Forced entry.  Suspects attempted to tamper with the ignition of a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant.

·         An attempted theft of a vehicle occurred in the 19000 block of Jamison Drive in Germantown overnight between Monday, 4/5 and Tuesday, 4/6.  Entry into the vehicle is unknown, however the suspect attempted to tamper with the ignition of a 2000 Dodge Caravan.

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 100 block of Timberbrook Lane in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, 4/6 between 11:00 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.  Forced entry.  Nothing taken.

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 300 block of Palmspring Drive in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, 4/6 between 11:00 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.  Forced entry.  Nothing was taken.

 

·         A residential burglary occurred in the 300 block of Palmspring Drive in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, 4/6 between 11:00 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.  Forced entry, victim home, suspects fled before taking anything. 

 

Suspects:  two B/Ms 30-35 years, 5’8” to 5’9”, 140-150lbs.

 

·         An residential burglary occurred in the 400 block of Muddy Branch Road in Gaithersburg on Monday, 4/5 between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.  There was no sign of forced entry but property was reported missing.

 

P2 Beat:

 

·         An aggravated assault occurred outside of Starbucks, 505 Quince Orchard Road in Gaithersburg on Sunday, 4/11 around 5:30 p.m.  The victim was working when the suspect, who was outside, began yelling at the victim and agitated him.  The victim went outside and the suspect pulled out a knife, and threatened the victim.  No one was injured.  Suspect fled on foot.

 

Suspect:   W/M 20-30 years, 5’11”, 270, goatee, short hair

 

R1 Beat:

 

·         A commercial burglary occurred at the H Mart, 9639 Lost Knife Road in Montgomery Village on Tuesday, 4/13 at 1:58 am.  Forced entry.  Property taken.  Suspects arrested.  Arrest information is not available at this time.
