COLUMBIA – Nearly 30 of the best senior boys basketball players gathered at Howard Community College on Thursday to participate in the annual CKA Senior All Star game.

Eighteen schools, eight counties and two states were represented on the court as the students were divided into two teams: Team CKA and Team SAVE.

Even though Team SAVE led by nine points at the half, Team CKA rallied together and pulled off a win, 99-93.

After the game, St. Andrews guard Lorenzo Bascon and Gwynn Park guard Justin Faison were each named the Most Valuable Player of their respective team. Faison finished the game with 33 points while Bascon posted 20 points.

“It’s a great honor for me to be considered an all-star in high school,” said Faison. “It’s a blessing for me to win MVP and I’m very grateful for that.”
