Sophomore running back Jalen Hampton was a star for the Little Hoyas against Benedictine. The Georgetown Prep varsity football team had leaned on the run all season, but the Little Hoyas reached a new level of success in using that tactic on Saturday. Hampton finished the game with 239 rushing yards on 29 carries with three touchdowns.

Benedictine started the game with the ball, and was driving down the field. The Little Hoyas’ defense struggled to stop the Cadets on their opening drive. That is, at least until Prep’s junior defensive back Thomas Muldoon picked off Benedictine quarterback Jay Woolfolk on a pass over the middle. Muldoon cut to the outside, and ran past the Cadets 70 yards back for a touchdown to put his team up 7-0.
