A spokesperson for the real estate business of the Kushner family said the company is working with Maryland Attorney General’s Office.
“We have been working with the Maryland Attorney General’s Office to provide information in response to its request,” said Eric Wachter, a spokesperson for the Kushner Companies said in a written statement. “We are in compliance with all state and local laws.”
On Oct. 29, CNN reported that the Kushner Companies, the real estate business started by Charles Kushner, is under investigation by the Maryland Office of the Attorney General.
Charles Kushner is the father of White House political adviser Jared Kushner, who is married to President Donald J. Trump’s eldest daughter Ivanka Trump,
Raquel Coombs, spokesperson for the Maryland Attorney General’s Office, would not confirm or deny the investigation saying it was general policy not to do so.
“I think ‘investigation’ is an interpretation,” Wachter told the Sentinel when asked whether the Maryland Attorney’s General Office was investigating the Kushner Companies.
Before he became a senior White House adviser, Jared Kushner worked as the CEO of the Kushner Companies.
