All-Sentinel girls basketball team named

Co-Coach of the Year – Steve Pisarski, Damascus

A longtime coach in Montgomery County, Pisarski guided the Swarmin’ Hornets to a 20-4 record in his final season at the helm of the program and compiled more than 400 wins during a tenure that lasted nearly three decades.

Co-Coach of the Year – Donita Adams, Watkins Mill

A Montgomery County product, Adams, who once played for Pisarski at Damascus, guided the Wolverines to a 13-win season including an appearance in the region championship game after registering just four wins in her first season at the helm.

Player of the Year – Abby Meyers, Whitman, Sr.

A repeat Player of the Year honoree, Meyers, a Princeton recruit, averaged 24.3 points per game and led the Bethesda public school to its third consecutive appearance in the Maryland 4A state championship game.
