As Prince George’s County firefighters were on the scene of a suspicious fire that took two lives at a New Carrollton apartment complex on Sunday night, a second fire erupted in Chapel Oaks.
Firefighters responded just after 9 p.m. to the 4700 block of Leroy Gorham Drive for a reported house fire.
According to Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department officials, responding units reported fire coming from a one-story house. All residents made it out safely.
Firefighters mounted a quick attack and brought the fire under control within 15 minutes, officials said.
No injuries were reported, and the fire has been ruled accidental.
The fire displaced two adults and two children.
