National Law Enforcement Memorial

Thanks to the riders who graciously pedaled hundreds of miles and raised $1.1 million, the 18,983 names on the National Law Enforcement Memorial are being re-engraved and recoated. Once this work is done and the walls have been cleaned, the memorial will be restored to beautiful condition. Other work is ongoing and will continue for the coming 12 to 18 months, including cleaning the walls once the name engraving is completed, cleaning the benches that line the Pathway of Remembrance, repairing and replacing tree beds, installing new tree bed curbs, designing and installing new electronic directories, installing new lighting and more. Thanks so much to those who have helped in this endeavor.

For the fourth year in a row, Harley-Davidson has donated a Peace Officer Special Edition motorcycle to the National Law Enforcement Memorial Museum. Tickets to win this bike are on sale now for just $25. Call 1-800-622-BIKE. Only 6,000 tickets will be sold and a drawing will take place Oct. 14 during the museum’s groundbreaking.
