Man killed in homicide in Chillum
A man was killed early Tuesday morning on Red Top Road in Chillum.
On Feb. 1, at approximately 2:48 a.m., officers responded to the 6800 block of Red Top Road for the report of an injured man. When officers arrived, they discovered an unidentified adult male, suffering from trauma to his body. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives believe the victim was killed as a result of a personal dispute with someone known to him.

The Prince George's County Police Department is offering a cash reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the suspect(s). The investigation is continuing.
Fatal accident involving stolen police vehicle
The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal accident involving a stolen police cruiser that occurred early Saturday morning in Upper Marlboro.
On Jan. 30, at approximately 2:30 a.m., patrol officers came across debris from a single vehicle traffic accident near Croom Road and Baden Naylor Road. The officers located an injured male and a disabled 2006 Dodge Charger nearby. Contact was established with the male and the officers proceeded to check the vehicle for other possible occupants.
During this time, the male jumped into one of the police cruisers and proceeded along Croom Road eventually crashing into a tree near Croom and Mattaponi Road. The collision caused the cruiser to burst into flames, which fully engulfed the vehicle.
The patrol officers attempted to extinguish the flames but were unsuccessful. The Prince George’s County Fire Department responded, extinguished the fire, and pronounced the male dead on the scene. He was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy. The male has been identified as Kenneth Ray Taylor, 28, of the 15400 block of Mt. Calvert Road. Accident investigators are looking into the cause of the original accident.
Man found dead in Upper Marlboro
Police are investigating the death of a man found in Upper Marlboro.
On Jan. 14, at approximately 11:40 p.m., officers responded to the 5700 block of Water Street for a man down. When officers arrived, they discovered an unknown male lying on the ground suffering from trauma to his upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics of the Prince George’s County Fire Service. The victim’s body was transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
