Two men died Monday morning from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle collision in Glenn Dale.

The fatal crash was reported just after 8 a.m., and Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department dispatched Rescue Squad 18 from Glenn Dale Volunteer Fire Department to the 10800 block of Lanham-Severn Road.

Firefighters extricated three people from the two vehicles, said PGFD chief spokesman Mark Brady.

Two of those victims were transported to a local trauma center where they died from their injuries, Brady added.

The third victim, who was extricated, along with another victim were transported to a local hospital with injuries not deemed life-threatening, stated Officer First Class Nicole Hubbard of Prince George’s County Police Department.

According to Hubbard, a red Honda traveling west struck an oncoming silver Audi in the eastbound lane of Lanham-Severn Road.

At the time of the collision, some parts of the road were covered with snow, which could have caused the accident, said Hubbard. The crash is still under investigation.
