Army Pvt. Jonathan E. Black has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

He is the son of Linda Black of Grandhaven Ave., Upper Marlboro, and brother of Mbugua Muchoki of College Ave., College Park.

The private is a 2007 graduate of the Landon School, Bethesda.

Army National Guard Pvt. Sidy Diallo has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

He is the son of Youssouf Diallo of Alpine St., District Heights.

The private is a 2008 graduate of Central High School, Capitol Heights.

Army Pvt. Anthony J. Frazier has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

He is the son of Teresa Robinson and Alvin Frazier of Castleton Place, Upper Marlboro.

Frazier is a 2007 graduate of Tali Oaks High School, Bowie.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Rachaad A. Gunter graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

He is the son of Vernita Gunter of Crossbow Road, Fort Washington.

She is the daughter of Kenneth and Barbara Newton of Eyelet Court, Clinton.

Army Spec. Kristen L. Palmer has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

She is the daughter of Shirelle Richardson of Surratts Manor Drive, Clinton.

Palmer graduated in 2004 from Charles Herbert Flowers High School, Springdale, and received a bachelor’s degree in 2008 from North Carolina Central University, Durham.

She is the daughter of Sonya Robinson of Villa Hills Drive, Houston, Texas, and sister of Shamona Sanders of Elan Court, Bowie.

The private is a 2003 graduate of Largo High School, Largo.

Army Sgt. Gabriel M. Watson is returning to the U.S. after a deployment to the Iraqi Theater of Operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The sergeant, an avionics system repair with nine years of military service, is assigned to the 404th Aviation Support Battalion, Combat Aviation Brigade, Fort Hood, Killeen, Texas.

He is the son of Peggy Matthews of Laurel.

Watson is a 1999 graduate of Eleanor Roosevelt Senior High School, Greenbelt.

She is the daughter of Veronica Wilson of Elmcroft Blvd., Rockville, and stepdaughter of Cornell Casey of Cherrywood Terrace, Greenbelt.

The private is a 2008 graduate of Eleanor Roosevelt High School, Greenbelt.
