Eleanor Roosevelt's girls' basketball team defeated

Bowie 53-44 on Feb. 7. The Raiders extended their winning streak to 15 as they

strive for an undefeated season. Kaila Charles led the charge with 19 points

and seven rebounds. Fellow teammates Octavia Wilson and Tolu Okomore combined

for 25 points as well to help lead their team to victory.

Wise's boys' basketball squad took down Northwestern

73-55 on February 7. Michael Speight led all scorers with 16 points, and big

man Micah Till added 15 points to the stat sheet as well. Justice Sneed also

helped the Pumas effort by scoring 11 points. Wise continues their undefeated

season at 16-0 as they look strong moving closer to the postseason.

Bowie State University's men's basketball squad won

their fifth-straight contest against Lincoln University (PA) 63-60 on Feb. 8.

Sophomore Andre Jackson led all scorers with 20 points, and senior Ray Gatling

of Oxon Hill added 15 points to the scoreboard in a valiant effort. The

Bulldogs are looking strong during the home stretch of the season.
