A District Heights nightclub was shut down by Prince George’s County officials twice in 30 days.

The Rose Cafe, previously called the Star Dust Lounge, is located in the 5400 block of Marlboro Pike. It was the location of a shooting in the parking lot on Feb. 6.

The Rose Cafe was previously closed on Feb. 8 for operating without the required use and occupancy permit and for posing an imminent danger to the public.

A zoning examiner allowed the business to reopen on March 1 under specific conditions, including a requirement that the business cease adult entertainment related activities.

Prince George’s County Police Department discovered the business was continuing to operate outside of its use and occupancy permit on March 9, leading to the March 16 violation notice and closure.

The Rose Cafe will remain closed pending the outcome of an appeals hearing.
