The University of the District of Columbia Athletic Department will host its inaugural Firebird Open Golf Tournament on Oct. 14 at the National Golf Club at Tantalon in Fort Washington.
“We are extremely excited to host the first ever Firebird Open Golf Tournament,” UDC Athletics Director Patricia Thomas said. “It will be a great day to celebrate Firebird Athletics and to build on all the positive momentum that has been created here at the university in the Athletic Department. We invite all alumni, faculty, staff and fans to participate and enjoy a wonderful day of golf.”
The National Golf Club is a tree-lined PGA Tour-quality conditioned course. The course and clubhouse have recently been upgraded with a $4 million renovation project that improved the club’s restaurant, driving range, pool area and fitness center.
For just $125 per person, tournament guests will enjoy one round of golf, range balls, lunch and a Firebird shirt.
Hole sponsorships are available for $200. Sponsorship includes a business or personal advertisement in the tournament program and allows sponsors to have a signature on the tee box of the hole.
The event starts at noon.
