Prince George’s County Police Department apprehended two suspects for a homicide that occurred in July 2010 in Morningside.
Detectives arrested Jeffrey Allen Cutler Jr., 26, of Capitol Heights, and Houston Donald Washington, 27, of Southeast, Washington, D.C. for the killing of Antwann Tirelle Massey, 34.
At approximately 12:54 a.m. July 31, 2010, patrol officers were called to the 3800 block of Regency Parkway for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Massey suffering from multiple gunshots. He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police investigation revealed Massey was shot and killed during a residential robbery. Massey reportedly sold snacks from his home. Detectives believe money from the snack sales was the motive in this case.
Cutler and Washington allegedly entered Massey’s residence and demanded money. During the robbery, Washington allegedly shot Massey multiple times.
Evidence collected from the scene led detectives to establish Cutler and Washington as suspects.
Cutler was arrested at his home on Friday. Washington was already in custody on unrelated charges and served with the warrant last Thursday.
Cutler and Washington are both charged with first-degree murder.
