Prince George’s County police officials and fire investigators from Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department are investigating the death of a person found in a burning car Monday morning in Camp Springs.

Shortly after 4:30 a.m. units from Morningside Volunteer Fire Department responded to the 5100 block of Morris Avenue for a reported automobile on fire in the parking lot of the Allentown Apartment complex.

According to fire officials, firefighters extinguished the fire and discovered the body of an adult male inside.

“This is currently being called a death investigation,” Cpl. Maria McKinney, a spokesperson for Prince George’s County Police, told The Sentinel.
