3586860 G1Mount Rainier Police officers are investigating the robbery of a BP Gas Station ATM that left a gas station worker injured.

According to Michael Scott, Police Chief for the Town of Mount Rainier, around 3 a.m. Monday, three adult males wearing masks – at least two of them carrying guns – entered the gas station in the 4500 block of Eastern Avenue on the PG/DC line and stole one of two ATMs that was located inside the gas station.

A gas station worker was treated on the scene by fire department personnel for minor cuts to his face after he was pistol whipped by the suspects, Scott said.

"We are working with detectives from Prince George's County Police Department on getting video security tapes from the gas station that could provide with more information on the vehicle that was used by the suspects as well other information," Scott said. "We are also working on determining how much money was inside the machine."
