Two people injured in College Park apartment incident

cphomicideCOLLEGE PARK – One person is dead and a second person is in stable condition after a shooting inside a College Park apartment complex.

The shooting happened around 4 p.m. at the Camden College Apartment complex in the 9600 block of Milestone Way off of Baltimore Avenue next to Beltsville Agricultural Research Center.

“We understand a fight occurred between the two men over a computer,” said police spokesperson Cpl. Lamar Robinson. “The fight escalated into the stairwell between the second and third floor where the shooting happened.”

Police have identified the shooting victim as 36-year-old Rawle Farle. He suffered a gunshot wound to his upper body and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The second victim, an adult male, was transported to a local hospital suffering an head injury.

Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. Anyone with information is asked to call the homicide unit at 301-772-4925.
