Police seek help in identifying stabbing victim

C9uHwC7WsAEUUKzFORESTVILLE – For the third time this year, the Prince George's County Police Department is seeking the community’s help in identifying a woman who was stabbed to death Sunday morning.

Prince George's County police have  identified the victim as 17-year-old Te'yja Chase, of Suitland

Around 8:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday, Chase was able to knock on a front door of a house in the 3300 block of Springdale Ave near Forestville Road and as for help before she collapsed and went unconscious, police officials said.

She was transported to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

“Our victim is between 20-23 years old, African American female, 5-foot-11 and 126 pounds,” said Cpt. Anthony Schartner of Prince George's County Police Department. “She did not have any scars, birthmarks or tattoos.”

 Police are asking for the community to take close look at the composite sketch of the victim and the clothing the victim had on at the incident.

Detectives are actively working to identify the suspect(s) and motive in this investigation. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
