LANGELY PARK – After a quick investigation into the homicide of 22-year-old Carlos Sanchez-Cabrera of Merrimac Drive in Langley Park, county detectives arrested two men who live in the area.
Police arrested 27-year-old Oscar Choc of the 8100 block of New Hampshire Avenue and 34-year-old Julio Murillo of the 8400 block of New Hampshire Avenue and charged them with first and second-degree murder. They are in custody of the department of corrections on a no-bond status.
Court records show that both Choc and Murillo have been arrested prior to the homicide for a number of crimes.
Just before 11 p.m. on June 2, police responded to a parking lot next to an apartment building in the 8200 block of 14th Avenue for a shooting. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found Cabrera suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
