Police arrest two in relation to Riverdale Park shooting

riveraaaRIVERDALE PARK – Homicide detectives from the Prince George's County Police Department have made an arrest in the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Cesar Bazan of 69th Place in Landover Hills who was shot in front of an apartment complex.

Detectives arrested 19-year-old Marquise Dinkins of the 1000 block of Holbrook Terrace NE in Washington, D.C. and 30-year-old Charles Howard Davis of the 500 block of Emerson Street in Bladensburg.

On July 26 around 8:30 p.m., patrol units from Riverdale Park Police, along with county units, responded to the 5500 block of 54th Avenue for a shooting. When they arrived, officers discovered Bazan outside suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he died a short time later.

According to police, Bazan got into an argument with Dinkins and Davis before the shooting.

Dinkins is in custody in the District of Columbia awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County. Davis is in custody of the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections on a no-bond status

Both Davis and Dinkins had been arrested for robbery and other acts of crime in the county. Both are now charged with first and second-degree murder.
