LARGO – Homicide detectives from the Prince George's County Police Department are investigating the county’s 79th homicide of the late Friday night at the Cameron Grove Condominiums.
According to officials, around 11 p.m. units from Prince George's County Fire/EMS Station 846 from Largo was dispatched to the Cameron Grove Condominiums after a mother called 911 saying her son was lying in the driveway unconscious and not breathing.
“Our patrol units were also responding to the incident in what they believed was a death investigation, but when they and the fire department arrived on the scene they quickly determined the victim was shot in his upper body. He was pronounced dead on the scene and our homicide detectives were called to the scene to start their investigation,” said Cpl. Harry Bond, a spokesperson for the county police department.
Detectives believe this was not a random incident and are working to identify a suspect(s) and a motive in this case. A $ 25,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the homicide unit at (301)-772-4925.
