LARGO - Prince George's County Police Department, homicide detectives, are investigating the county’s 78th homicide of the year after a man was discovered dead inside a vehicle on Dec. 23 in Largo.
During a routine patrol just before 9:30 p.m., a Prince George's County police officer discovered a vehicle parked at a construction site in the area of Capital Lane and Capital Court just off of Harry S. Truman Drive.
When the officer checked inside the vehicle, he discovered an adult male who police have identified as Kelvin Robinson, formerly an 18-year-old resident of Bowie. Robinson suffered a gunshot wound to his chest.
The Prince George’s County Fire Department and emergency personnel came to the scene, but despite the efforts of the medics, they were unable to save Robinson. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives believe this was not a random act of crime and they are working to identify any suspects or a motive in this case.
