TEMPLE HILLS – A 61-year-old District of Columbia man has become the sixth homicide victim of the year in Prince George's County after he was stabbed to death in Temple Hills.
Early on Wednesday morning, Jan. 24th, just before 12:30 a.m. police and fire units from Prince George's County responded to a house in the 6700 block of Geneva Lane for the report of a stabbing.
When they arrived on scene emergency personnel found an adult man who police identified as Lorenzo Dancy of Brooks Drive in Northeast Washington suffering from multiple stab wounds to his upper body.
He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Detectives from the homicide unit of the Prince George's County Police Department were called to the scene to investigate the fatal stabbing.
They do not believe this was a random crime and are working to identify a suspect (s) and motive in this case.
A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
