SEAT PLEASANT – A man was arrested on March 31 after he exchanged gunfire with police officers from Prince George's County Police Department and the Seat Pleasant Police Department in Seat Pleasant.
"At Around 9:30 p.m. a child called 911 from a house in the 900 block of Goldleaf Avenue to report a shooting," said Jennifer Donelan Director of Media Relations for Prince George's County Police Department. "When our officers and officers from Seat Pleasant Police Department arrived, they encountered a man outside the house, and gunfire was exchanged between officers and the man."
After exchanging gunfire with officers, the suspect allegedly ran from the scene, and he was located underneath a porch of another house near Goldleaf Avenue and Seat Pleasant Drive, and a barricade was declared. Within minutes of the barricade being declared, officers were able to arrest the man.
Police returned to the house where the child made a 911 call from and determined that no one was injured.
