LANDOVER HILLS – A man was shot and killed on May 8 at Annapolis Road over the top of the Baltimore-Washington Parkway in Landover Hills.
Local police officers were called to the scene at around 6 p.m. for a person who was allegedly shot.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"This happened in daylight in a very busy area," said Prince George's County police spokesperson Jennifer Donelan. "We have to assume that there were a lot of people who saw this. Please do not assume that somebody else has called and we know what we need to know.

Detectives on the scene believe the victim was allegedly targeted and investigators are working to identify a suspect and motive in the shooting.
All lanes of Annapolis Road were closed down for several hours along with the ramp from the parkway to Annapolis Road causing a massive traffic jam on the parkway and Annapolis Road.
