Mustangs upset Raiders for 4A regional title

With less than seven seconds remaining in the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) Boys Basketball 4A South Regional Finals, the six-foot-seven standout suffering from a lower back and right knee injury, was called upon to make one more defensive stop to lead the Mustangs to victory.


Prince George's County Police arrest Capitol Heights native for murder

Screen Shot 2017 12 27 at 3.19.26 PM1LANDOVER - After an extensive investigation, and seventeen months later, detectives from Prince George's County Police Department's homicide unit arrested a man who committed a crime in a May 2016 homicide that occurred in Capitol Heights.

Detectives arrested 30-year-old Reginald Clayburn of the 5000 block of Lee Jay Court in Capitol Heights for the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Daryl Antjuan Walker of Walker Mill Road in Capitol Heights.

On Tuesday, May 31, at around 9:00 p.m. patrol units from Prince George's County Police Department along with units from the county fire department responded to the 800 block of Kayak Avenue.

When officers arrived, they discovered Walker inside of a car suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives believe the fatal shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute between Walker and Clayburn.

Charged with first and second-degree murder and related charges, Clayburn is being held at the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
