A man died and two women were stabbed in two separate overnight incidents Friday.
Just after midnight, Prince George’s County police responded to the Ritchie Volunteer Fire Department, in the 1400 block of Ritchie Marlboro Road, for a shooting victim who was dropped off at the station by an unknown person, who did not stay on the scene.
“The victim, an adult male, was transported to a local trauma center suffering a gunshot wound to his head in extremely critical condition while (paramedics were) performing CPR,” said Mark Brady, chief spokesman for Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department.
According to Prince George’s County Police Department officials, the man died at the hospital and his identity has not yet been released. Homicide detectives are now seeking suspects and trying to determine a motive for the shooting and why the man was taken to the fire station.
This is the ninth homicide this year and the second homicide in February in Prince George’s County.
Around 2: a.m., PGPD patrol units were called to the Hangar Club, in the 6400 block of Old Branch Avenue in Temple Hills, for a reported double stabbing.
Police officers and paramedics located two women suffering stab wounds. Both women were transported to a local trauma center in serious condition, but their injuries were not life-threatening, said fire officials.
PGPD officials are seeking suspects and trying to determine a motive for stabbing.
