With only fours days left in 2012, Prince George’s County Police Department investigated the 62nd homicide of the year early last Thursday morning in Seat Pleasant.
Shortly before 7 a.m. Dec. 27, patrol officers from the department’s District III station responded to Pepper Mill Drive and Drylog Street in the Pepper Mill Estates for a suspicious vehicle.
Upon arrival, police officers discovered Nichols Andrew Battle, 21, of Seat Pleasant, had been shot. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Homicide detectives are working to identify the suspect or suspects and to establish a motive.
