If you’re looking forward to some family fun this summer, get ready for the UniverSoul Circus at the National Harbor. Adults and children alike will experience new thrills at this year’s circus called the “Turn’t Up Tour.”
“This show is on fire,” said Cedric Walker, UniverSoul Circus founder and president. “It’s turn’t up! For 2013, UniverSoul Circus has reached a new level of exuberance and energy never before witnessed under the big top. The energy level is heightened. Bottom line — this show is on fire … it’s turn’t up!
UniverSoul Circus was founded in 1994 in Atlanta, Ga., and has since toured around the world. It is rated among the top three circuses, which includes Ringling Bros.-Barnum and Bailey and Cirque du Soleil. For five consecutive years, UniverSoul Circus has ranked among Ticketmaster’s Top 25 most requested family events in the United States.
In 2013, fans can expect horses, ballerinas, comedy acts, elephants and more. The talented performers hail from Colombia, France, South Africa, West Africa, Vietnam, Russia, Brazil, Trinidad and Tobago and the United States.
“Our fans will witness young performers who combine the past with the future to create groundbreaking performance art that is unique in the circus world,” Walker said. “Our event is all about lifting spirits. Whether you’re sitting on the edge of your chair with excitement, dancing to the music or high-fiving our performers as they pass through the aisles, UniverSoul Circus is designed to move audiences in a positive way.”
Tickets range from $16 to $32. Free admission for children age 1 and younger. For more information, call 1-800-745-3000.
