Police seek help to solve case

policeThree years ago on May 17, 2011, a 22-year-old Forest Heights man was shot to death and homicide detectives from Prince George's County still have no motive or suspects. They are seeking help for the community to solve the case.

According to Prince George’s County Police, patrol units were called to Modoc Lane in Forest Heights for reports of gunshots.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found 22-year-old Okasha Montre Hawkins dead and another victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

The second victim was taken to a local hospital in serious condition said a spokesperson for the county fire department.

Since the shooting occurred, detectives have interviewed a number of people and still have no leads.

“We need help from the community,” said Prince George's County Police Chief Mark Magaw. “Someone knows something and that person needs to call us. The parents of the victim need some type of closure," he said

A cash reward is being offered for the tip that leads to the arrest and indictment of the suspect(s).
