GREENBELT – Eleanor Roosevelt senior wide receiver Raymond Boone will be joining the University of Maryland football team as the 10th commit in the class of 2018. Boone announced his commitment on June 16 via Twitter.
SEABROOK – After graduating from DeMatha Catholic High School in the spring of 2016, Markelle Fultz continued his basketball career at the University of Washington – more than 2,700 miles and 40 hours away from his hometown of Upper Marlboro.
After Thursday night’s NBA Draft, Fultz will begin his professional career a lot closer to home. A short two-hour trip up I-95 to be exact.

Fuller will play football for Fayetteville State University this fall, signing on as the only out-of-state recruit this year.
UPPER MARLBORO – Donald Carey had a handful of scholarship offers to play Division I basketball next season, but as graduation neared, he was in no hurry to pick among them.
