UPPER MARLBORO – The Frederick Douglass Eagles looked like they would have an easy path to victory against the Potomac High School Wolverines, but the two sides battled harder than the final score indicated as Douglass won 27-6.
GREENBELT – In rainy conditions, the Eleanor Roosevelt High School football team forged a dramatic 26-20 victory over visiting Dr. Henry A. Wise on Saturday afternoon in double-overtime to remain unbeaten on the season.

The Eagles did something they have not done before all season-give up a score. Despite allowing a touchdown last week, Douglass has outscored opponents 227-6 on its way to a 5-0 start.
UPPER MARLBORO – In a rematch of last year's Capital Athletic Conference Championship football game, Riverdale Baptist High School showed no signs of wanting to relinquish the crown Friday as the team cruised to a 46-8 victory over visiting Perry Street Prep in front of nearly 800 on homecoming day.
CLINTON – Surrattsville High School came up with big plays when it had to on its way to beating Fairmont Heights 22-14 in overtime in a battle of the Hornets for the IA North division lead.
