Obama's FY17 budget to fund new FBI HQ

BarackObamaWASHINGTON, D.C. – Following the December announcement of $390 million toward the initial design, engineering and construction of a new headquarters for the FBI, federal officials announced on Friday, Jan. 22, that an additional $1.4 billion will be included in President Barack Obama’s Fiscal Year 2017 (FY17) budget request to fully cover the rest of the anticipated costs of the project.
