It Runs in the Family

A former nurse retuns to the hospital with the news that she had left her position 18 years ago as she had been expecting noted neurologist Dr. Mortimer’s “love child.” That child is now downstairs and insisting on meeting “Daddy.”  Directed by Jane B. Wingard, “It Runs in the Family,” runs Feb. 22 through March 9. Performances are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays, except the final performance at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 9. In the Heat of the Night

“In the Heat of the Night” is directed by Estelle Miller. Performances are at 8 p.m. March 15-16, 22-23 and 29-30, and at 2 p.m. March 17 and March 24. Arthur Przybyszewski owns a decrepit donut shop in the uptown neighborhood of Chicago. Franco Wicks, a black teenager who is his only employee, wants to change the shop for the better.The play runs from Feb. 22 through March 16. Tickets may be purchased through the Greenbelt Arts Center’s website.

The Teahouse of the August Moon

“The Teahouse of the August Moon” follows the career of an Army of Occupation officer stationed in Tobiki, a remote town in Okinawa. Performances are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Feb. 24. Two matinees will be at 2 p.m. this Sunday and Feb. 24. Tickets cost $15 for general admission and $12 for students, ages 18 and under, and seniors, age 65 and older.
