Time for kids' summer camps

Summer vacation has arrived!

Students can find activities to keep busy at a variety of summer camps in Prince George’s County.

Bishop McNamara Summer Camp

6800 Marlboro Pike, Forestville

This camp is for students interested in academics, the arts or athletics.

Enchanted Kingdom: Camp WOW

11001 Rhode Island Ave., Beltsville


Through July 19

This year’s theme is “Super Heroes vs. Zombies. “Activities include karate, dance, arts and crafts and more.

Kingdom Summer Camp

610 Largo Road, Upper Marlboro


Children can participate in cheerleading, basketball and more at this Christian camp. Transportation to and from camp is available for a fee.

Landover Soccer Summer Camps

8400 Ardwick Ardmore Road, Landover


Through Aug.16

Soccer lovers ages 4 to 14 can master their skills with this soccer-focused camp. Full days and half days are available.

Lovely Ladies of Laurel Summer Camp

Laurel High School


Through July 11

This camp for girls ages 11 to 14 includes mentoring, workshops and a book club. Only 15 girls can register.

Nike Ultimate Camp Maryland

Washington Bible College, Lanham


July 29 to Aug. 2

Campers ages 13-18 will get play ultimate Frisbee and work closely with the DC Breeze ultimate disc team and George Mason University ultimate disc players. This is a half-day camp with a low camper-to-staff ratio.

Patriots STEM Summer Camp

Prince George’s Community College

June 24 to July 26

Students with an interest in science, technology, engineering or math may benefit from this five-week camp that includes hands-on activities and workshops.

Sport Fit Summer Camps

Through Aug. 23

Sport Fit offers sports camps for children of all ages. Campers can attend a half-day or full-day camp. Before and after care is available.

St. Ambrose School Summer Camp

3107 63RD Ave., Cheverly


Children from preschool to eighth grade can enjoy ice cream Fridays, field trips, arts and crafts and sports. Before and after care is available as well as lunch for an additional fee. Discounts are available for siblings.
