Kevin Jackson, a senior studying psychology at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, from New Carrollton, is spending the week of March 7-12 in New Orleans as part of Penn State Behrend's alternative spring break (ASB) program to help residents clean up and rebuild after Hurricane Katrina and the other natural disasters that have affected the area.

Kenneth Jacobs of Upper Marlboro, a senior journalism major, is one of 32 students from Rider University selected for inclusion in the 2010 edition of “Who's Who Among Students” in American Universities and Colleges.

Sarah M. Keister, of Laurel, has been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2009 semester at Washington College in Chestertown, Md. Keister is a senior majoring in Human Development.

Hannah Leigh Monroe, of Hyattsville, was named to the Dean's List at Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pa. Monroe a senior studying biopsychology. She is a 2007 graduate of Eleanor Roosevelt High School.
