WASHINGTON, D.C. – Emotions ran high outside the U.S. Supreme Court Tuesday where the justices are hearing two days of arguments on separate issues concerning same-sex marriage.
The Supreme Court is hearing two landmark cases this week on California's Proposition 8 and the federal Defense of Marriage Act.
While cooler heads prevailed inside, supporters and opponents took to the steps of the Supreme Court and the streets.
