Community asks for full resources for students, teachers in PGCPS budget

PGCPS logoUPPER MARLBORO – Theresa Dudley, the president of the county teacher’s union, is furious.

Every year, it seems to her, the most important budget items to the Prince George’s County Educators Association (PGCEA) and to teachers are the first items struck from the budget when the county does not give the Prince George’s County Board of Education all the funds it asks for.

Greenbelt wants to stay green

greenbeltGREENBELT – The city of Greenbelt is staying true to its green name as it voted to send a letter off to Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan asking him to stand by the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement during the same meeting the council directed staff to look into solar and wind options.
