A Landover man has surrendered after police issued an arrest warrant Saturday for his arrest for the robbery and shooting of a food delivery driver.
Prince George’s County police officials said Wayne Hunter Jr., 20, of Landover, turned himself in Sunday morning. Police also said Hunter became combative and assaulted a detective after his arrest.
On Jan. 13, police officers responded to the 8400 block of Hamlin Street for a shooting. The preliminary investigation revealed Hunter shot and robbed a food delivery worker as the victim attempted to make a delivery. The victim had a minor gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital.
Hunter is charged with attempted murder and armed robbery. Police said Hunter is being held without bond.
