A man was stabbed just after 12:30 a.m. July 3 at the Wawa in Beltsville.

Prince George’s County Police Department arrested a woman on the scene. She will be charged with attempted murder and other charges, Cpl. Clinton Copeland said.

The victim was transported to a local trauma center in serious condition, Copeland said.

Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department responded to the reported stabbing in the 10500 block of Baltimore Avenue. Paramedics and police officers located the man in the parking lot behind the store. He appeared to have multiple stab wounds on his upper body, Copeland said.

Several customers said they heard a man and woman yelling at each other and then heard someone calling for help. They said they then saw the man on the ground.

“We believe the two got into some type of fight, and the woman stabbed the victim,” Copeland said.

The incident is still under investigation.
