Prince George’s County homicide detectives quickly arrested Darryl Sherwood Adamson Jr. in connection to the death of Brandywine teenager Darius Trey Turner.

Turner, 18, was found around 2 a.m. Saturday by county police officers in the 6300 block of Coventry Way in Clinton. He had been shot and was transported to a local trauma center where he later died.

The preliminary information revealed Turner was standing in a parking lot when a dark-colored car approached him. Allegedly, Adamson, 19, of Clinton, opened fire and shot Turner multiple times.

Detectives located Adamson at him home and placed him under arrest. He has been charged with first-degree murder and is in custody at the Department of Corrections.

Detectives are seeking information about the car, described as a dark-colored, four-door sedan with tinted windows.
