The Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders (16-3) took the field against the rival Bowie Bulldogs (13-6) to complete a four-run comeback victory (7-6) on May 12 during a Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) 4A baseball playoff match.

As the handoff was completed, other members of the Raiders team showered Sorenson with a celebratory water bath.

With less than seven seconds remaining in the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) Boys Basketball 4A South Regional Finals, the six-foot-seven standout suffering from a lower back and right knee injury, was called upon to make one more defensive stop to lead the Mustangs to victory.

Lady Raiders win regional title over Lady Panthers

ER Dianna McFarlaneGREENBELT – For the past three seasons, the same two teams have faced each other in the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) Girls Basketball 4A South Regional Finals. In 2016, Parkdale High School finally bested Eleanor Roosevelt in a shocking 45-42 victory, leaving a sour taste in then-sophomore Ashia McCalla’s mouth.
