Baysox win home opener thanks to walk-off single

Drew Dosch DKBOWIE – Bowie Baysox starting pitcher John Means got the nod for Bowie on April 13 against the Harrisburg Senators. Coming off of a winning performance against Akron on April 8, Means struggled early against the Senators after pitching four and two-thirds innings; allowing seven hits and two runs.

Baysox celebrate 2015 Eastern League Championship, drop three to Akron

BaySox Ring Ceremony 3 DKBOWIE – It rained fairly hard about an hour before the Bowie Baysox season opener on April 1, and a soft rain fell for the duration of the two-and-a-half-hour game.

However, the rain did subside and the sun came out roughly 30 minutes before the first pitch. Just in time for the Baysox and their fans to celebrate the team’s 2015 Eastern League Championship - the first in franchise history.

Baysox bannerBOWIE – Following Reading’s game three victory Thursday night, a member of the Phillies’ organization called Bowie to see if it would be willing to sell its champagne to them for their potential championship celebration.
