Isaiah HazelSEABROOK – At the end of May, Dr. Henry A. Wise, Jr. High School wide receiver Isaiah Hazel announced his top seven schools during the recruiting process as arguably one of the best wide receivers in the state of Maryland.

He finally narrowed that list down to Tennessee, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Ole Miss, Maryland, and Alabama.

SMAC drop PG in high school football all-star game

Copy of BensonMondestinII NorthwesternBENNSVILLE - Chick-fil-A restaurants in the DMV teamed up to host the 2017 Chick-fil-A Challenge Senior football game featuring Prince George's County senior student-athletes battling against the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference (SMAC).

Held at North Point High School on Dec. 8, the series between both sides was tied previously.

Wise creates dynasty with 4A three-peat

John Oliver MS 2ANNAPOLIS – Dr. Henry A. Wise, Jr. came into last Friday’s 4A championship game having won back-to-back state titles without a single loss since 2014.

The Pumas squared off with Quince Orchard for the second consecutive year, and for the second time in as many years, the result was the same.

Gwynn Park survives Red Storm, moves on in 2A bracket

BRANDYWINE – The opening 2A regional semifinal matchup between Gwynn Park and Edmondson-Westside was a battle until the very end.

A 15-yard touchdown catch from Gwynn Park wide receiver Devin Curry, which happened early in the second quarter, proved to be the game-winner against the Red Storm. Despite the win, Gwynn Park Head Coach Danny Hayes still wanted more out of his team’s 8-2 victory on Nov. 10.
