To his surprise, they were not upset. His players told him that this was a learning experience that they needed to go through that experience to complete their goal of winning a state title.

The Dr. Henry Wise, Jr. High School sophomore was accidentally hit by an opposing stick on her head during a loose ball scramble in a Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) 4A girls lacrosse state playoff match against Bowie High School on May 11.

Eleanor Roosevelt stuns Bowie in comeback win

Chris Jones baseballGREENBELT – When the state playoffs begin, a brand new season starts and teams become willing to do anything to chase championship glory. The Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders (16-3) took the field against the rival Bowie Bulldogs (13-6) to complete a four-run comeback victory (7-6) on May 12 during a Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) 4A baseball playoff match.
