HYATTSVILLE – The first game of the Capitol Hoops Summer League competition on June 1 at DeMatha Catholic High School featured Woodrow Wilson High School (Washington, D.C.) versus Bowie High School. The game showcased the talent that we will see when the high school basketball regular season rolls around again.

ANNAPOLIS – The Chesapeake Bayhawks finally got some revenge against the defending Major League Lacrosse (MLL) champion Ohio Machine who had previously won three straight matches. With a smothering defense and tremendous hustle, the Bayhawks dominated the champs by a score of 13-8 to win their third consecutive game on June 2 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis.
ASHBURN – The Washington Redskins are gearing up for the road to Richmond in Ashburn as football season is around the corner.
COLLEGE PARK – Entering Memorial Day weekend, both the University of Maryland men’s and women’s lacrosse teams were two victories away from repeating last year’s feat of winning their respective national championships.
