Prince George’s County fire investigators have ruled a fire Sunday night at an Oxon Hill apartment complex as “suspicious.”
The fire was reported just after 11 p.m. at Oaks at Park South apartment complex in the 5500 block of Livingston Terrace. It displaced nine residents and caused $15,000 in damage.
According to Mark Brady, public information officer for Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department, firefighters encountered several fires set in a vacant second-floor apartment unit.
Firefighters brought the flames under control within 20 minutes, according to Brady.
Brady said no one was injured, and the nine displaced residents are being assisted with temporary housing by the Red Cross and apartment management.
The investigation into the blaze will continue, Brady said.
