A six-vehicle crash injured 11 people Sunday in Brandywine.

One victim sustained life-threatening injuries, and two others were in trauma care Sunday. The eight others had minor injuries, said Mark Brady, Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department spokesman.

“With the number of people injured and the number of cars involved, we had to dispatch three fire engines, a rescue engine, five ambulances, three medic units and at least one helicopter,” Brady said.

The multi-car collision was reported around 2:30 p.m. in the 15100 block 15113 Crain Highway.

One of the vehicles was traveling northbound on Crain Highway when it crossed into the southbound lanes, hitting five other vehicles, a Maryland State Police spokesperson said.

The crash is still under investigation, and none of the drivers have been charged as of The Sentinel’s deadline Tuesday, the MSP spokesperson said.

Southbound Route 301 was closed several hours Sunday as state troopers investigated the accident.
